Who We Are
Mercy Child Care Ministry is a self sustainable village dedicated to helping street children, orphans, at-risk slum children, and abandon babies. We believe that a family is the best place for a child to grow in. Therefore there are currently four cottages where the children live. The first cottage is for babies up to three years old. The other three cottages have about eight to ten children with a married couple living in each one.
What We Do
In a nutshell, we rescue kids from the slums and streets, rehabilitate them holistically Physically mentally, socially, emotionally through providing them with a family in our family style home and the most important part being spiritual rehabilitation. We later find the child’s existing relatives, empower them with skills and reunite them and restore the whole family unit.
The goal of this ministry is to strengthen these children’s extended families through employment and financial sustainability projects so they can care for their children effectively. While working towards this goal, we house the children and ensure they have a sufficient education according to their individual needs.
Mercy Child Care is a self-sustainable village that provides farming/ agriculture, clean water, home schooling, and is currently in the process of building a medical center that will allow the children to have access to health care as well as provide an affordable medical center to the surrounding community.
